Good article but could you share a bit more on how to set healthy boundaries? It’s easy to say, but how exactly do you do this? When I’m in the situation I always feel automatically like I have to say yes to everything and that it’s no big deal and I genuinely like helping people but then later I realize what I’ve said yes to and how much work it is and I often feel it goes by underappreciated in the end.

this so describes how i feel. i don’t even know what to do anymore. i feel so uncomfortable highlighting my contributions that i never do it… and then WHEN i do it because i realize that it’s absolutely necessary i feel so awkwared and tense about it that it comes across totally the wrong way and it just makes me want to hide even more.

Literally make a list of the things you did, then pick one that seems like the most easiest one to communicate, and practice it in front of a camera. Then review the footage and see how you can improve. Do another session and review. Practice makes perfect, or at least it makes you better at this..
